New Book Clubs at the Clark Pleasant Branch
The Clark Pleasant Branch of the Johnson County Public Library is excited to announce two new book discussion groups just for teens and kiddos!
If you’re in grades 5-12 then you need to check out our Teen Book Club. Our first meeting will take place on Thursday, June 20 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. For this meeting, read a dystopian book (The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Uglies, etc.) of your choice and then come to the library for an intense discussion, games, and to learn about other great reads.
For those in grades 3-5 we offer our Children’s Book Discussion group. Just read The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau before our meeting on our meeting on Tuesday, June 25, where we will discuss the book. Stop by the Clark Pleasant Children’s Reference Desk to get a copy. Our meeting will take place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
To register for either of these discussion groups, call 535-6206 or visit www.jcplin.org/register
