JCPL Has the "Driftin' Blues"
The Bent and Fields Duo to Perform in Johnson County
No other music tells America’s story quite like the folk and Americana classics. The Bent and Fields Duo will present some of these soulful pieces at the White River Branch of the Johnson County Public Library Saturday, June 25th at 2:00 p.m. as part of JCPL’s “One World, Many Stories” Summer Reading Program.
Cary Allen Fields and Dan Bent, the two halves the “duo,” are co-founders of The Redbud Foundation along with Cyndi Parrett Wagner and Terry “T-bone” Mathley. The Foundation seeks to bring Americana and roots music to the central Indiana region as well as open up opportunities for area musicians and venues that support Americana and roots music to better connect with local communities.
Aside from these exploits, Dan Bent also owns and operates a sound company while Cary Allen Fields hosts “The Fields of Bluegrass Radio Hour” and “The Redbud Radio” from The University of Indianapolis’ broadcasting station.
