Published Saturday, October 22, 2011 by Robin Martinez

Few artists have captured the intense emotion of fear like immortal poet and short story author, Edgar Allan Poe. His work has been turned into dozens of films and plays since his death 162 years ago and he has penned some of the memorable lines in English-language literature.

The Johnson County Public Library, in celebration of Halloween, would like to invite you to its Trafalgar Branch on Monday, October 24 at 6:00 p.m. for an evening of poetry and stories that will chill and thrill you. A short film will also be shown.

Open to grades 5 and up. To register, please call 878-9560 or visit www.jcplin.org
