Winter Reading Returns to Johnson County!

Published Friday, February 1, 2013 9:00 am by Robin Martinez

Come in from the cold, as the Johnson County Public Library celebrates its eighteenth year of Winter Reading. We’re encouraging families to “Feed Your Mind, Read!” during the whole month of February.

JCPL hopes to encourage families to visit the library and read together. Each time a patron or family visits the library, each person will receive a prize and a bonus ticket, up to four times. Tickets will be good for a chance at winning the bonus bucket, chock full of cooking items and kitchen-inspired toys.

A new feature of Winter Reading will be the Fairy Tale Scavenger Hunt. Four characters from popular fairy tales will be hiding at each branch. Stop by the children’s desk to receive the Scavenger Hunt Sheet.  Participate in the Scavenger Hunt and receive an extra bonus ticket.

For more information, stop by any children’s reference desk or call your local branch using the contact information on the back of this Connections newsletter.
