Reading Dogs Coming to a JCPL Branch Near You
September is Literacy Awareness Month! Join us for our Paws to Read-In events at your local Johnson County Public Library branch. Each branch will have specially trained “reading dogs” on site for you to read to. In addition, the person who reads for the longest time will win a spectacular prize! All ages are invited to participate.

· Wednesday, September 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Branch. A reading dog will be on site from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
· Saturday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trafalgar Branch. A reading dog will be on site from 10 a.m. to noon.

As part of our events, we will be holding a book drive. We ask that books be dropped off only during the Spelling Bee and Paws to Read events. All books will be donated to community organizations.
