Christmas Wishes and Cookie Dreams!
The warm smell of baking cookies is a fond holiday memory for many people. In Franklin, IN, the pleasure can be two-fold! As part of the Franklin Downtown Holiday Lighting Celebration, Friends of Johnson County Public Library and Mutual Savings Bank are sponsoring the 5th Annual Gingerbread House Contest and the 7th Annual Cookie Contest on Saturday, December 3.
Each contest will be divided into two categories: Children, ages 12 and under; and Teens/Adults ages 13 and up. The winners in each category will receive $35 courtesy of Mutual Savings Bank.
On Saturday, December 3, bring your sweet entries for either contest to Mutual Savings Bank at 1:00 p.m. The Public will vote for their favorite gingerbread house from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Then, at 3:00 p.m. judging for the Cookie Contest will begin. All winners from both contests will be announced at 4:30 p.m.
To pick up a copy of the complete contest guidelines and a registration form, visit any Johnson County Public Library branch or drop by Mutual Savings Bank, which is located at 80 E. Jefferson St. in Franklin. You can also access information at www.jcplin.org
