Summer Globe Trotting

Friday Family Fun Programs

You don’t have to spend hours in a plane to see the world. Every Friday in July, the Johnson County Public Library’s Clark Pleasant region will explore a region of the world as part of the Library’s “One World, Many Stories” Summer Reading Program.

Friday, July 1st at 2:00 p.m. visit China through various activities, including a folktale that will expose to you one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

Friday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. take a magic carpet ride to India and the Far East. Crafts and stories will bring these mysterious lands to life!

Friday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. Discover the homeland of Strega Nona and spaghetti through stories and a funny movie all about Italy.

Friday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. stay closer to home and journey to the Southwest of the United States. Meet zany characters like Jackaloupe and 10 Gallon Bart before making a Southwestern inspired craft.
