Register Now for the 7th Annual Adult Spelling Bee
JCPL is “Raising Awareness One Letter at a Time”
Do you have what it takes to be a top speller? The Adult Learning Center will host the 7th Annual Adult Spelling Bee at Franklin College in the Branigin Room on Monday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Form a team of three people, ages 18 & older and join the friendly competition. Your team will work together to determine the spelling for each word and write the word on a dry erase board for review. Each word is assigned a point value based on its level of difficulty.
This is not a traditional spelling bee. Participants will not be asked to step up to a microphone to spell a word and there’s no danger of early elimination.
- You may register online at www.jcplin.org/spellingbee or by visiting any of our branches.
- Registration deadline is September 6. Cost per team is $33.
- If you register by the August 30 early-bee discount, the cost is $27.
- Checks payable to Friends of Johnson County Public Library and accepted at any JCPL Branch or the Adult Learning Center.
As part of our events, we will be holding a book drive. We ask that books be dropped off only during the Spelling Bee and Paws to Read. All books will be donated to community organizations.
