Read Hard, Read Long

Themed Read-ins for International Literacy Month.

Published Monday, September 10, 2012 9:00 am by Robin Martinez

As part of International Literacy Month, held in September, the Johnson County Public Library is pleased to introduce a series of themed read-ins.

Each JCPL branch will hold a read-in designed to get the community in to the library and reading during the month of September. No registration is necessary, just come by your local branch’s community room and sign in to begin your time. Then, read for as long as you like. The individual with the longest reading time at the end of the day will win a fantastic prize.

Pajama Party Read-in @ the Clark Pleasant Branch: Saturday, September 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

·      Camp-out Read-in @ the White River Branch: Monday, September 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

·      Beach Party Read-in @ the Franklin Branch: Monday, September 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

·      Wilderness Celebration Read-in @ the Trafalgar Branch: Saturday 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
