Genealogical Research @ JCPL

Published Monday, April 23, 2012 by Robin Martinez

April 2, 2012 marks the much anticipated release of the 1940 U.S. Federal Census. Although this treasure trove of genealogical data will be free online, it will be a while before a searchable surname index is available.

The Johnson County Public Library is here to help! On Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Allison DePrey, from the Indiana Historical Society, will share how to maximize your research using other tools and resources.

Open to teens and adults. To register, please call 738-9711 or visit www.jcplin.org

For more information, please contact Adult Services Manager, Linda Kilbert, at 738-9711.
