An Evening with Carrie Newcomer
The Johnson County Public Library is proud to welcome one of the definitive voices of the Heartland, singer/songwriter Carrie Newcomer, as part of our One Author, One Community Program.
An Indiana native, Newcomer sings of the small joys and pains in life, emphasizing the little moments that are often taken for granted. Her ability for sharp observation of the world led the Dallas Morning News to rave, “She’s the kind of artist whose music makes you stop, think, and then say, ‘that is so true.’”
Carrie Newcomer will appear at Franklin College’s Richardson Chapel on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. This concert is open to teens and adults. To register, please call 738-9711 or visit www.jcplin.org
