A Night of Stories, Laughs, and Literacy
As part of International Literacy Month 2011, the Johnson County Public Library is pleased to announce the return of storyteller, Stephanie Holman, as a featured performer in September.
Stephanie will use language, puppets, and props to illustrate how thinking, listening, speaking, writing, and reading create literacy. The result is a hilarious, thought-provoking, and clever storytime that is enjoyable for young and old alike.
As a new feature of this special performance, library workers can earn one Library Education Unit (LEU) for attending this program.
Registration is not required but is encouraged as refreshments will be provided by our sponsor Benjamins Coffeehouse and Bakeshop. This program is also sponsored by Franklin Walmart (store #995).
For more information, please contact Adult Services Librarian, Cindy Bergquist, at 738-2833.
