JCPL Announces Winners of Holiday Cookie Contest
Johnson County Public Library has announced the winners of its Sixth Annual Holiday Cookie Contest.
Kevin Stucker of Franklin won the children's competition with icicle ornament cookies. This was Kevin's third consecutive win.
Elizabeth Hilligoss of New Whiteland won the adult/teen competition with lemon tea cookies.
The winners were selected by a panel of four judges. The panel included Eli Betts, manager of Mutual Savings Bank's downtown branch; Greg Moore and Mark Gavorski, members of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors; and five-year-old Jaady Allender. son of local business owners Jason and Shalin Allender. (Jaady described each entry as the best cookie he had ever tasted and gave all contestants a perfect score.)
The Holiday Cookie Contest took place on Saturday, December 4 at Mutual Savings Bank in Downtown Franklin. A $35 prize for each winner was sponsored by Mutual Savings Bank.
The library would like to congratulate the winners and sincerely thank all who entered.
