Calling All Teens!

Show Us Your Story

Published Wednesday, June 1, 2011 by Robin Martinez

You read that right. We want to see your story: black and white, color, sepia tone. We want to see what you’ve got to say. As part of this year’s Summer Reading campaign, the Johnson County Public Library is sponsoring a Teen Photography Contest. Anyone between the ages of 13 and 17, is invited to submit an original photograph related to the theme of "One World, Many Stories."

All photographs must be turned in at the Adult Reference Desk along with an entry form/permission slip that allows us to display the photographs in the library. All photographs will be judged professionally, and the top three winners will receive $40, $25 and $10 Best Buy gift cards, respectively. All the entrants will be honored at a reception on August 2, 2011 at the Franklin Branch.

For complete rules and to print off the entry form, visit www.jcplin.org

For more information about other Summer Reading Events, please call Erin Kirchhoff at 885-1330 of the JCPL branches.
