Live Bluegrass Music

@ JCPL

Published Monday, May 28, 2012 by Robin Martinez

Start your summer off right by bringing the whole family and a picnic to the Johnson County Public Library’s Trafalgar Branch for an evening of bluegrass music with Birch Creek bluegrass band.

The band members have each earned national and state contest titles on their respective instruments, and their three and four-part vocal harmonies carry you into the stories told within the songs. But the thing that audiences come back for are the smiles. They’re contagious!

For the best in bluegrass, come to the Trafalgar Branch on Friday, June 1.

Music will be at 7:00 p.m. and the show will be held outside if weather permits. In the event of bad weather, the performance will be moved into the library.

Open to all ages. Registration is not required but is encouraged. Sign up by calling 878-9560 or by visiting www.jcplin.org

For more information on the concert, contact Adult Services Librarian, Todd Jones, at 878-9560.
