Dear Soldier...

Published Thursday, November 10, 2011 by Robin Martinez

As the holidays approach, it is important to remember that there are millions of men and women who will be away from home serving in the armed forces. A kind word can do wonders in lifting the spirits of these brave individuals.

The Johnson County Public Library, in partnership with A Million Thanks is hosting a Letters to Soldiers day on Saturday, November 12 at our Clark Pleasant Branch. We invite the community to come in anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to write letters or holiday greetings to a solider far from home.

Stationary and note cards will be provided. If you are unable to make it to the library on November 12th, just drop off your letters and cards to the Clark Pleasant Branch anytime during the week of November 6th. There is no need to address your envelopes as A Million Thanks will take care of addressing and sending out our letters and greetings.

Open to all ages.
