JCPL Announces Winners of Gingerbread House Contest
Johnson County Public Library has announced the winners of its Gingerbread House Contest.
Michael Shirley of Whiteland won the children's competition with a gingerbread barn and silo.
Christine Robinson of Greenwood won the adult/teen competition with a five-sided construction decorated to look like small-town storefronts on each face.
The gingerbread houses were on display at Johnson County Public Library's Franklin Branch on Saturday, December 4. Visitors to the library were invited to vote for their favorite entry.
Mutual Savings Bank sponsored a $35 cash prize for the creator of the gingerbread houses that received the most votes in each category.
The winning houses will be on display in the lobby of the Franklin Branch through Saturday, December 18.
The library would like to congratulate the winners and sincerely thank all who entered.
