Frosted Maple Christmas Cookies

Cookie Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. maple flavoring
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) white chocolate chips
- Maple frosting (recipe follows)
Cookie Directions
- Combine flour and baking soda in a medium bowl. Beat brown sugar, shortening, butter, eggs, maple flavoring and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake in pre-heated oven at 350° oven for 9-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes and move to wire rack to cool completely. Spread with maple frosting and top cookies with desired Christmas sprinkles. You can also top with other options for other holidays.
Maple Frosting Ingredients
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 4-6 T of milk
- 1/4 cup of softened butter
- 1 tsp. maple flavoring
Maple Frosting Directions
- Combine; stir until smooth.
